When the New Plymouth City Council wanted to spruce up a waterfall feature in the Pukekura Park they wanted something that would wow the crowds that came to look at Festival of the Lights.
Lighthaus Limited designed and managed the installation and commissioning of a Philips Color Kinetics system. This features IP rated high output LED fittings installed under the ledges on the waterfall, providing a cascade of colour. The system is able to run on its own standalone programming for day to day use, but can also be loaded with a variety of customised programs to suit different events in the park. For total control, a theatrical lighting console can be plugged in and the entire feature integrated into park events.
Future expansion to other features will see a single point of control available to manage and control features throughout the park.
